This summer, ActioNet is pleased to announce the inaugural launch of its College Internship Program. As part of this new company initiative, college students focusing on IT-related coursework, will be selected as ActioNet interns to work alongside our IT Support team at our Headquarters in Vienna, VA. This program will provide interns with an opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a corporate IT environment while also receiving internal training through ActioNet University.
Throughout the spring, ActioNet’s Recruiting department has ramped up its marketing efforts and social media outreach. We have partnered with local colleges to participate in job fairs, conduct information sessions, and visit classes, in order to inform students of this exciting opportunity. Once an online application and screening are successfully completed, students will be selected to interview with our Senior IT Operations Manager and the Helpdesk Team at Headquarters who will be assessing each candidate’s skill set and ability as they coincide with the team’s objectives.
ActioNet is committed to supporting the continued professional growth of its interns and employees alike. Ultimately, our goal for the program is to bring back interns as full-time ActioNet employees once their college coursework is completed and they have graduated. In doing so, they would have access to additional training opportunities and the possibility of obtaining a federal security clearance as appropriate.
