“National Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day” was on October 13th on Friday ActioNet combined our monthly birthday celebration with our Wear Pink! awareness initiative. I took it upon myself to try to add more than just a little bit of pink so I planned to wear a pink shirt, socks, and eyeshadow! The pink eyeshadow seemed to be the first thing everyone noticed and it was definitely a fun and easy way to show support and awareness for patients with Metastatic Breast Cancer and get a conversation started around the difficulties of this kind of cancer. We also celebrated the birthdays of our coworkers for the month of October. The cake was actually made out of many cup cakes in the shape of a heart! ActioNet will continue to support MBC survivors.
