ActioNeters worked together to raise money for the National Down Syndrome Society in the virtual Racing for 3.21 event
By Bobby T.
During the week of March 21st, ActioNet and the country began preparing contingency plans to work remotely as a result of COVID-19. Despite those preparations, Team ActioNet was able to still give back to our community and support The National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS) by participating in their annual “virtual” Racing for 3.21 event!
ActioNet set a goal to raise $3,210 and surpassed that with $3,458 raised. Our team finished second overall in fundraising out of over a hundred other teams! ActioNeters covered a distance of 3.21 miles by running, hiking, biking along with other creative methods to show support. One event participant hopped on a pogo stick for three minutes and twenty-one seconds while another held a plank for that duration. The event always results in a fun, creative and memorable experiences and The President of NDSS expressed her sincerest appreciation and support from Team ActioNet.
NDSS is the largest nonprofit in the United States dedicated to globally advocating for all individuals with Down syndrome. Their mission is to be the leading human rights organization for all individuals with Down syndrome and ActioNet was thrilled to be a part of it!
For those who participated and entered for prizes by posting/tagging your Instagram photos, please expect an email to coordinate delivery once we return to the office. Additionally, our random, grand prize winner of the pair of AfterShokz bone conduction headphones was none other than Dee C.! We appreciate all who donated and took part in this successful event. Please continue to stay safe and healthy. Thank you!
