Salesforce.com, a global cloud computing company, held “Salesforce World Tour” in Washington, DC on May 28, 2015 with over 5,000 industry executives, partners, customers, and product experts, discussing business transformation utilizing the Salesforce Platform and products. A key driver of Salesforce’s growth has been in pairing outstanding service delivery with a rapid time to project release cycles. The deployment of Salesforce for ActioNet’s Federal Customers was a featured talk at the event.
As a Portfolio Manager, I presented our Salesforce platform and application development process. I noted that our Customers leverage Salesforce to conduct market research, to communicate with prospective partners, and for internal workflow and project management. In the breakout session “Federal Transformation to Agency Enterprise on a FedRAMP Certified App Platform”, I discussed how innovation is being delivered to the enterprise mission by leveraging the Salesforce Platform through application consolidation, rapid application development and agency governance. Over 150 federal customers attended the session and the initial feedback was very positive – receiving a 4.5 rating out of 5 on the attendee exit survey.
With the Salesforce platform being a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) approved cloud solution, this event had a large portion dedicated to how Salesforce is transforming the government – 7 government specific events and sessions in all. It was estimated that over 1,200 federal customers attended the full day event. Given this great opportunity, I was delighted to share the customer experience with other federal agencies and members of the Salesforce community.
