On January 28, 2021, ActioNet recruiters had the opportunity to attend their second virtual hiring event of the year, hosted by the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority. By means of virtual resources, this organization’s goal is to market the region’s companies, like ActioNet, Inc to top talent across the nation. While the focus was on supporting the cyber community, this event also gave other groups of non-technical job seekers the chance to connect and learn of about ActioNet, Inc. With advertisements pushed to various channels, such as LinkedIn, TAP offices, NASPA, ClearanceJobs, and Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education via blogs and press releases, the event drew the attention of a diverse group of cleared and non-cleared attendees.
A total of 1,427 attendees participated in this three-hour event. The pace was rapid, with simultaneous chat sessions of up to four candidates at once, timed at 5 minutes each. Prior to the start of the event, our recruiters were able to quickly access candidate summary data gathered and shared. Once event commenced, chatting with candidates as they visited our virtual booth allowed the recruiters to gain additional insight from candidates on the specific type of positions they were seeking, their careers interests, timeline, and availability.
With quick progression, our team of recruiters were able to chat with almost 100 candidates! The demographics of candidates included interns, recent graduates, entry-level and seasoned career professionals. The event presented a unique opportunity for our recruiters to not just meet and engage with these candidates, but also to showcase the ActioNet, Inc. brand as a top employer in the Northern Virginia region. Based on the volume of attendees and successfully contacts, ActioNet plans to be regular participating employer in this annual virtual career event. Until then, our recruiters are onto the next stop in their virtual tour! Stay tuned for more details.
ActioNet nominated Washington Post Top Workplaces 7th year in the row.
