On 23 July, the local Montgomery ActioNet team held our summer picnic event at Lagoon Park. Our crew braved the heat to enjoy BBQ and socialization. The event was catered by Fat Boy’s BBQ with pulled pork and smoked chicken. We also brought cookies and a cake for snacks. The children, and admittedly some of the adults, chose to spend their time at the adjoining playground, on a pogo stick, throwing a Frisbee, and playing cards. Even with the heat, the entire team had a good time with the camaraderie. For those planning a summer event, we have one piece of advice: the macadamia nut cookies were a fan favorite.
