ActioNet’s President & CEO Honored as 2004 Asian Entrepreneur of the Year

ActioNet announced today that its President & CEO Ashley W. Chen has been named a 2004 Asian Entrepreneur of the Year by Asian Enterprise Magazine. This prestigious award recognizes leading Asian Americans in the business community who create value in their respective markets and give back to the communities they represent.

Ms. Chen said, “ActioNet is an organization that emphasizes quality and team spirit. Everyone has the opportunity to be their best in contributing to the success of the company and sharing in the rewards. Success is a journey that is not just measured by the bottom line, but by helping those around us achieve their dreams and goals as well.”

Asian Enterprise (AE) is the Largest Asian American Business Focus Magazine in the Nation. “Celebrating Asian Entrepreneurs” is the only competition-based awards program that seeks to recognize exemplary Asian American entrepreneurs across America. The competition is open for any for-profit Asian American owned firms that have been in operation for at least three consecutive years. Each year, five winners are selected in different categories. The judging of winners was made by an independent panel of business and technology experts. The evaluation criteria include such factors as overcoming adversity, health of business, job creation and community activities relating to entrepreneurship, mentoring, youth awareness and community economic development.

The 10th Annual Asian Entrepreneur Awards will be held on Friday, May 21, 2004 at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada. The theme of 2004 is “Leveraging the Power of Asian American Enterprise: The Catalyst to Economic Strength.” This year’s special awards include the Honorable Congressman Mike Honda and NASA Associate Administrator/President-OSDBU Ralph Thomas.
