2020 has brought unprecedented changes to the way we all operate. Social, travel, and business practices have all needed to be rethought with safety and health in mind. Throughout the entirety of 2020, ActioNet has expertly followed the latest government and CDC recommendations to keep our ActioNeters, customers, and their families safe. Now, over six months after ActioNet began working from home, we are beginning Phase Two of our reopening process.
Phase Two was implemented on September 1, 2020 following the latest changes in CDC recommendations and the completion of rigorous safety updates to our workplaces. The changes brought can be categorized into three key areas; in-office work policy, travel policy, and visitor certification policy.
In-Office
Throughout Phase One of reopening, employees that wished to work in the office were able to do so provided they follow safety regulations and health screenings. Phase Two follows a similar format, however some contract employees may be asked to come into the office a few days a week.
In preparation, precautions were made to workspaces to maintain social distance and reduce daily capacity. Masks are required in the workplace, and all employees must pass a temperature check upon arriving to the office. ActioNet understands working in-office may not be possible for some employees with health concerns or in extenuating circumstances. Throughout the reopening process supervisors and Human Resources are ready to work with any contract employees that are currently unable to return to the office.
All ActioNeters returning to the workplace are required to wear masks and follow safety procedures
Travel
In Phase Two, VA and MD employees are no longer required to self-quarantine for 14 days following out-of-state travel. This decision has been made following changes to the Maryland and Virginia state law. Hawaii employees are still required to self-quarantine after out-of-state travel following Hawaii law.
Business travel has been halted at ActioNet since March of 2020.
Visitor Certification
To keep our employees safe, ActioNet has previously required all visitors to our offices complete certification forms upon their arrival at least once a week. By signing the certification forms our visitors agree the following is true:
- They are not currently under self-quarantine at the request of a healthcare provider
- They have not knowingly been in close contact with anyone being evaluated or diagnosed with COVID-19
- They have not traveled outside of the country in the past 14 days
- They are not currently experiencing or have previously experienced fever, cough, or shortness of breath in the past 14 days
Now in Phase Two, all visitors and employees in the Vienna, Virginia office are required to sign the certification form every time they enter the premises. This is in tandem with the completion of a weekly employee schedule that tracks what employees are in the office each day.
The Future of ActioNet Reopening
ActioNet is continuing to take precautions to ensure the safety of all of those that visit our facilities. ActioNet HR will closely monitor recommendations from government agencies as we move forward through Phase Two and plan for Phase Three of reopening.
