ActioNet Talks Industry Future at TechNet

By Matt S.

The Defense Programs Business Unit represented ActioNet at the 2017 AFCEA TechNet Asia-Pacific Conference and Expo in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki. The three day event held from 31 October to 2 November was a huge success! We were accompanied at the event by special guests including our Senior Executive Management team Chairman and CEO, Ashley C, President and CAO, Jeff A, SVP and CGO, Nick S, and VP, Defense Programs, Ray B.

The AFCEA TechNet Asia-Pacific event was identified as a conference of consequence by Pacific Command leadership as they seek to facilitate deeper partnership with industry and to find the solutions that will convert vast data into intelligence. The Pacific Command covers a region that is vast in nearly every way, including economic, cultural, social, geographic, language, and geopolitical diversity. The Command has more than 375,000 personnel, including Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and DOD civilians, who stand watch over half of the Earth.

TechNet Asia-Pacific, now in its 32nd year, is co-sponsored by AFCEA International and AFCEA Hawaii. It is the largest event in the Pacific Rim focusing on regional defense issues. Keynote speakers, panel moderators, and panelists discussed defense policies and challenges in the Asia-Pacific region and their relevance to both Industry and Government.  Industry exhibitors demonstrated products and solutions to meet the Services’ requirements and needs.
